The Pantheon of Paris is a masterpiece of French architecture of the 18th century, built on the Sainte-Genevieve mount. Originally, it was designed by the architect Soufflot, to be a catholic church, commissioned by King Louis XV after he suffered a serious illness.
But when the French revolution started, the building was turned into a sanctuary for significant French people. It became a pantheon for good in 1885, after the funeral of Victor Hugo.

Tips for your visit
This private tour of the Pantheon can be combined with a guided tour of the Latin Quarter, including the Sorbonne University, Luxembourg gardens, and some narrow medieval streets.
The crypt of the Pantheon is not accessible in wheelchair as there is a spiral staircase of 41 steps.

From April to October, it is possible to climb up to the upper galleries, and enjoy nice views of Paris, the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame Cathedral (3 Euros extra per person).
